De Quervain’s Tendinitis
Tendinitis is an inflammation which is located right before thumb and which leads to the thickening and narrowing of the tendon. This leads in particular to pain during the movement of the thumb. You can clearly feel the thickening. In some cases, tendonitis can be treated conservatively.
The operation takes roughly about 30 minutes and is usually performed under local anaesthesia. On request, general anaesthesia is also available.
After 14 days the stitches are removed. You will not be able to work for a period of 1-2 weeks.
