Eyelid-lift (Blepharoplasty)

A tired or older appearance may be due to an excessive upper eyelid, called the drooping or sagging eyelid. If there is a lot of skin on the upper eyelid, in some case it may even limit your field of view.

An eyelid-lift may help. Find all the relevant information here:

Genrell information about eye lid correction

Eye-bags as well may create a sad and tired appearance, which of course in most cases is not desirable. The reason for this is often inherited. This excessive and overlapping fatty tissue in the eye socket may also lead to an appearance of a swollen eye.

The eyelids, through a minor change, can become radiate again.

What do I have to do before the eye lid correction?

Removal of the excess skin is precisely determined as to avoid the complication of not completely closable lids. To avoid visible scars, the incisions are placed in already existing folds of skin. After the excess skin is removed, the overlapping tissue may be also removed from the socket. With blepharoplasty and the help of a small incision at the bottom of the eye, the excess skin is removed and the muscle lying under the skin is fixed at the side edge of the eye.

What do I need to know about the surgery of the eye lid correction?

An eyelid operation is a routine procedure, which usually takes 1-2 hours for us. The procedure can be performed either under local anesthesia or under general anesthesia.

Do I have to pay attention to something after the eyelid correction?

Since this surgical procedure is very gentle, the patient can usually go back home 1-2 hours after surgery. In the first days after surgery, the eyelids may still be a little sensitive to touch and swollen. It is recommended to wear cold pack glasses. These special glasses significantly reduce the swelling and thus the healing process is accelerated. About a week after the surgery, you can meet with people again. After 5-7 days, the stitches can be removed.

We offer free check-ups after 1, 7 and 14 days. Further check-ups are then performed once a year.
